An alumnus of the Cougar Marching Band, Kevin Griggs, was featured last week in Montana's Missoulian newspaper. Since graduating from Brigham Young University and the University of Northern Colorado, Griggs went on to become the director of the University of Montana Grizzly Marching Band. This spotlight gives insight into the marching band's current routines as well as the challenges and triumphs that Dr. Griggs and the band experience through the season.

The Cougar Marching Band is one of several campus organizations featured in this summer's issue of BYU Magazine in a tribute article to the thousands of employees and volunteers who work behind the scenes to make each game day a reality. Fred McInnis, Director the BYU Cougar Marching Band, is pleased to welcome Dr. Ron Brough, Professor of Percussion in the School of Music at Brigham Young University, as the latest member of the 2015 Cougar Band staff. Dr. Brough returns as Percussion Caption Head for the BYU drumline after serving in this capacity from 1984 - 1991.
