High School Band Directors and Logistics

The Rocky Mountain Marching Band Invitation is a complex, all-day event involving over a dozen schools, hundreds of student performers, numerous volunteers, and a large venue among other things. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we organize an enjoyable, positive competition environment. The following information is to inform everyone involved, from band directors to adjudicators, volunteers to spectators, about how the competition is run.

Documents include a detailed schedule, maps for warm-up, staging, and performer flow, adjudication forms, among other things.

Stadium Policies

Bag Policy

LaVell Edwards Stadium has adopted a NO bag policy. Small clutch bags, no larger than 5” x 8” x 1” , with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium.

  • No outside food or drink

The following items are permitted after inspection:

  • Medically necessary items (including diaper bags) will be permitted after inspection. One bag per person.

Video and Photo Policy

Due to copyright restrictions, ONLY small, nonprofessional, single frame "point and shoot" and digital cameras are allowed in the venue. Family, friends, and fans, may take still photos of Rocky Mountain Events for personal use only. Please be considerate of the performers and the fans seated around you.

All forms of video and motion picture cameras and sound recording devices are STRICTLY PROHIBITED due to copyright restriction.

Drones, tripods and other equipment that may obstruct the view or path of travel of others in the stands are also NOT ALLOWED.
