New BYU Bands’ Directors Announced

The Cougar Marching Band is excited to announce two new faculty members who will be joining the BYU Bands’ staff in Fall 2021: Dr. Shawn Smith and Prof. Nathan Seamons.  They are succeeding Director of Bands and former Cougar Band director, Dr. Donald Peterson (35 years) and Associate Director of Bands, Dr. Kirt Saville (13 Years).  Dr. Peterson and Dr. Saville are retiring after the Winter 2021 semester.  We are extremely grateful for all they have done for BYU Bands and wish them the best.
