New Website for Cougar Marching Band

The BYU Cougar Marching Band announces the launch of its new website, marchingband.byu.edu.

With a completely redesigned user interface, the new website offers innovative features and unique functionality, as well as quick and intuitive access to extensive resources for visitors and current band members.

According to Fred McInnis, Director of the Cougar Marching Band, “The new enhancements will insure a superior and informative user experience for those visiting our website.  Development and creation of the new content has taken over a year to incorporate, but we fell the new application-driven content will better guide visitors and CMB members to information that is best suited for their needs.”

Simplified site navigation makes it quick and easy to find application and audition information for future CMB members, including a new application process and updated information concerning mission deferments for those wising to serve a full-time mission prior to attending BYU.

Website features include:

  • “Current Members” area with password-protected access to convenient forms and information for members of the CMB
  • “Frequently Asked Questions” videos answered by CMB members provide information concerning being a member of the CMB
  • “News” keeps visitors abreast of the latest CMB developments
  • Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, and YouTube Interfaces
  • Instant “Contact Us”
  • Site search

Due to the complexity of some functions, “Media,” “Events,” and some other aspects of the site are not completely operative, but will continue to be incorporated and improved over the summer.

We invite you to review the new website.  It is designed to be flexible and expandable, so please contact us with any suggestions for improvements or enhancements you would find helpful.
